Our History

The business we know today as Castle Parcels was founded in the 1970s offering a local Auckland delivery service. The business changed ownership in the 1980s, re-branded as Castle Parcels in 1989, and extended its ability to offer a New Zealand wide delivery service.

Today, Castle Parcels is owned by Freightways Express Limited - one of New Zealand’s largest express freight and courier businesses. As a consequence of its diverse history Castle Parcels has earned its reputation as a significant niche operator in the parcel distribution industry.

Under the ownership of Freightways Express Limited since the mid 1980s Castle Parcels now operates from branches with dedicated support teams and contractors in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

We deal with customers in many industries that primarily have a need for efficient and effective distribution for their business to business transactions. Many of our customers are household names in the wholesale and retail markets.
